Liaqat pur is a town and administrative centre of  Liaquat pur   in  Rahim Yar Khan District, Pakistan. It is located at 28°55'60N 70°57'0E with an altitude of 95 metres (314 feet). It is situated exactly between the main cities of Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan. The main railway line connecting Lahore and Karachi passes through this city and a small railway station is also in this city. Liaquat Pur is the biggest Tehsil of  the Punjab by area but it still stands in the row of undeveloped city.  The city is covered by the villages and canals from all sides. The main business is agriculture. Almost every second citizen is engaged with Agriculture directly or indirectly.

CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SLAUGHTER HOUSE

  The Slaughter House was constructed long ago in accordance with the requirements of that time which has now shrunk to meet out current requirement of the local butchers as the population of the urban area has increased many folds. Accordingly the Number of butchers has also increased many  times. Therefore new Slaughter house is required to meet the demand. It is also demand of the inhabitants of the area to shift it out of residential area.
