Liaquat Pur was named once " Chau-Dari " from
Persian
it is translated as "4 - windows". When
Bahawalpur
was a Princely state, nawabs of
Bahawalpur
constructed here a big
Minaret
and on the top of this
Minaret
there were 4 Windows, Usually seen in
Mughal
or Islamic
Architectures. The purpose
of building this
Minaret
was to watch over the movements of the
Army
of Jaisalmer
state. Whenever there was some unusual movement 1 of these 4
soldiers sitting and watching on this
Minaret
blew a big bang bell, as an alarm to get ready for Nawab's Armies.
